Pablo Picasso and Louise Bourgeois

Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous artists because of his paintings. This painting that Picasso painted called Seated Woman Holding a Fan is a painting that started to take him on his mature path that would become known as Cubism. The painting Picasso did was in the form of abstract. Picasso used the fan in the picture to make shapes and forms to the woman. Such as her nose, brow, breast, and the dress.

This painting is called Woman with Packages. It was created by Louise Bourgeois. This is another abstract kind of artwork. Louise Bourgeois art also took shape from a woman standing. Louise shows personage in this work and she often displays it in pairs or groupings.

Both artists create similar artwork. Both artist's display abstract paintings and use a woman in both kinds.  In both artworks you can really tell where the starting point is so its abstract.
